AI Disclosure & Usage Policy

Last updated 2026-07-24 · Version 2.0 · How AI works on metatrix.ai, operated by Metatrix Labs (Ontario, Canada).

1. You are interacting with AI

metatrix.ai is a hosted, fully serverless artificial-intelligence platform. Every generative feature on the service is powered by AI, not by a human:

When you use these features you are talking to software, not to a person. Max and every other feature can sound confident, personable, or authoritative while still being wrong. Responses do not represent the views, judgment, or professional opinion of Metatrix Labs or its staff.

2. Accuracy and “hallucinations”

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, out-of-date, or entirely fabricated. Language models can invent facts, citations, names, numbers, code, and events that do not exist — a behaviour commonly called a “hallucination.” Image, video, and 3D outputs can misrepresent reality, distort details, or produce results you did not intend.

You are responsible for independently verifying anything you rely on before you act on it. Outputs are provided for general and creative purposes only and are not professional advice — they are not legal, medical, financial, tax, accounting, engineering, safety, or other regulated professional advice, and using the service does not create any professional relationship. Always consult a qualified, licensed professional for decisions in those areas.

Special caution — blueprints and hardware. Any blueprint, schematic, wiring, bill-of-materials, structural, electrical, mechanical, or hardware output generated on the platform is a conceptual draft only. It must not be built, fabricated, energized, installed, or relied upon without independent review, calculation, and sign-off by a qualified engineer or licensed professional. AI-generated designs may omit critical safety factors, code requirements, tolerances, or hazards. You assume all risk of any physical build.

3. How your data is used with AI

To produce outputs, your prompts, uploaded files, and camera frames are transmitted to and processed by third-party AI providers — Cloudflare Workers AI and fal.ai — acting as our processors. Generated media (images, video, 3D, upscaled and voice files) is stored in the cloud using Cloudflare R2 object storage.

We do not use your content to train, fine-tune, or improve AI models, and our AI providers do not train their models on your content. Your inputs and outputs are used to deliver the feature you requested and to operate, secure, and support the service — not to build models. For full detail on what we collect, where it is processed, and how long it is kept, see our Privacy Policy.

4. Camera and voice

The “Real Room” vision feature is designed only to describe scenes and objects in a camera frame. It does not identify individual people, match faces, estimate identity, or create facial-recognition or other biometric templates. It is not a surveillance, identification, or people-tracking tool.

You must not use the camera or voice features to identify, monitor, profile, or capture other people without their knowledge and consent, and you must comply with all applicable privacy and recording laws where you and any people in frame are located. Do not point the camera at anyone who has not agreed to be captured. Misuse of camera or voice features is prohibited — see the Acceptable Use Policy.

5. Your rights in outputs

Subject to our AI providers’ terms and to your compliance with our Terms of Service, you may use the outputs you generate, including for commercial purposes, except where those providers’ terms restrict a particular use.

We do not warrant that any output is unique, original, non-infringing, free of third-party rights, or protected by copyright. Different users can receive similar or identical outputs from similar prompts. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before use and for clearing any third-party rights.

Note that in Canada, purely AI-generated content — created without sufficient human authorship — may not be protected by copyright at all, and similar limits apply in many other countries. Do not assume you own an enforceable copyright in AI-generated material. See our Terms of Service and Copyright Policy for details.

6. Provenance and labelling

Content produced on metatrix.ai is AI-generated. Where the underlying tools and formats support it, we support content-provenance standards such as C2PA so that AI origin can travel with the file. For users in the European Union, we provide transparency that content is artificially generated or manipulated, consistent with the EU AI Act’s transparency obligations.

You must not remove, alter, obscure, or falsify any AI-identification mark, watermark, metadata, or provenance signal attached to outputs, and you must not present AI-generated content as human-created where doing so would be deceptive or unlawful.

7. Automated decisions

We do not use AI to make solely automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you or that similarly significantly affect you. The platform generates content and information in response to your requests; decisions about how to use that content remain with you.

8. Human oversight and reporting

Keep a human in the loop. Review AI outputs before publishing, sharing, or acting on them. If you encounter an output that is harmful, unlawful, seriously inaccurate, or that appears to reflect misuse of the service, please report it to support@metatrix.ai so we can investigate and, where appropriate, take action.

9. Prohibited AI uses

Certain uses of the AI features are strictly forbidden — including generating unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content, and using the camera or voice tools to identify or surveil people without consent. The full list of restrictions is set out in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

10. Changes to this policy

As our AI features, providers, and legal obligations evolve, we may update this AI Disclosure & Usage Policy. When we make material changes we will revise the “Last updated” date and version above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
